Torvis Terms of Use
Effective: 10 October 2026 · Version: 2026-10-10
These terms govern your use of the Torvis desktop app and the subscription services connected to it (the "Service"). You accept them by ticking "I have read and accept" when you first sign in, or by using the Service. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Torvis is provided by Fatih Dinç, Türkiye. Contact: heytorvis@gmail.com ("we", "us").
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Notice. Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.
1. What Torvis is
Torvis is an AI assistant that runs on your computer and that you talk to by voice or text. At your request it can act on your computer. Examples include opening apps, working with files, looking at your screen, drafting or sending messages, setting reminders and searching the web.
- You are talking to an AI. Torvis is not a person. Its voice is synthetic and is not the voice of any real person.
- The AI models that transcribe your speech, write the answer and produce the voice run on servers we rent. See the Privacy Notice.
2. Who may use it
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a contract to use the Service, or older if the law where you live requires it. By accepting these terms you confirm that you are 18 or older.
- If we learn that someone under 18 uses the Service, we close their access and delete their data.
- The Service is not currently offered in Türkiye. When it becomes available there, these terms will be updated and the change announced in advance.
- If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.
3. Licence key and computers
- Your subscription works with a licence key. Keep it secret: use under your key counts as yours.
- A licence works on as many computers at a time as your plan allows. When you reach the limit, you can remove a computer you no longer use from within the app. Computers unused for a long time drop off on their own.
- If you think someone else has your key, tell us at once.
4. Subscription, allowance and fair use
- Each plan includes an allowance over rolling periods (for example 5 hours and 30 days). Your current allowance is shown on the app's Plan screen.
- The allowance is counted in roughly the cost of one conversation turn. Heavier work — looking at the screen, research, long tasks — uses more.
- When the allowance is used up, the assistant may stop answering until it renews; the app shows when.
- We may change plans and allowances. A change to your disadvantage is announced at least 30 days ahead and takes effect from your next billing period. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
5. Payment and renewal
- Payments are processed by Whop. Its own terms also apply. Where Whop acts as merchant of record for your country, it also charges and pays the applicable tax.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- A price change is announced at least 30 days ahead and applies from the next period.
6. What the assistant does on your computer — your responsibility
This section matters; please read it carefully.
- You give the instructions. Torvis acts on your computer at your request. This can include:
- Opening, changing, moving and deleting files.
- Writing and sending messages or emails in your name.
- Changing settings.
- Clicking and filling in forms in websites and apps.
- Shutting the computer down.
You are responsible for the instructions you give and their results.
- AI makes mistakes. Torvis can misunderstand you, pick the wrong app or file, or be wrong about facts. What it does while looking at the screen can have unexpected results. Check its answers before relying on them for anything important, and ask a professional about health, legal and financial matters.
- Read confirmation prompts. Sending a message or an email, placing a call, running code, deleting files or moving many at once, uploading a video, a step on the screen that cannot be undone, and shutting down are not done until you press the confirmation button on screen (or on your phone, if you asked from it). Other actions may run without asking. Check what will happen before you confirm. A confirmed action, or one you asked for directly, is your instruction.
- Keep backups. Back up important files regularly. Data the assistant deletes or changes cannot always be recovered.
- Other services' rules. The services the assistant uses for you (messaging apps, social media, email, game platforms) have their own terms. It is your responsibility to check that automating them is allowed.
- Remote access. You turn on commanding your computer, taking screenshots and powering it on and off from your phone. Keeping your Telegram account secure is your responsibility.
- Other people. When the assistant handles other people's messages, voice or image for you (reading a chat, answering a call, a camera or screen task), getting their consent where it is needed, and following the rules on recording and on automated calls and messages, is your responsibility. When the assistant speaks to someone on a call for you, it first says that it is an AI assistant; do not ask it to hide that.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service:
- For anything unlawful, or to infringe others' rights, privacy or intellectual property.
- To harass, defraud or spam others.
- To create malware, or to access or harm systems without permission.
- To imitate a person's voice, identity or likeness without their consent.
- To overload our servers, get around the allowance, share or sell your licence beyond your plan's computers.
- To reverse-engineer our servers (the relay, the model servers) or use them from outside the app.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. No refund is given for serious or repeated breaches.
What our servers do on your behalf. While your computer is off, the jobs you give from your phone (a web search, reading a page, switching your smart plug on) are carried out from our servers, on your instruction and on your behalf. You are responsible for them too.
- To prevent misuse, our servers let your cloud body connect only to the web, at a limited rate.
- The time, destination address and port of every connection are recorded. The content is not (Privacy Notice, 3.9).
- If we receive an abuse report or a lawful request from an authority, we may use these records to identify the account that made the connection, share them with that authority, and suspend the account at once.
- To the extent the law allows, you will make good any loss caused to us by claims arising from your breach of these rules.
8. Plugins and third-party services
Torvis's plugins can use third-party services: weather, web search and others. Those services have their own terms, and we cannot guarantee that they keep working. When you use a plugin, only what that plugin's job needs is sent to the service (for example the city you ask about). The Privacy Notice lists them. Plugins start switched off and run only if you turn them on (when you first start the app, or later in the plugin list); connecting your phone turns on the parts the phone needs.
9. Content and intellectual property
- What you give the assistant — conversations, files, screenshots — is yours. We process it only to provide the Service. We do not use it to train AI models and do not sell it.
- We claim no rights in what the assistant produces for you. We cannot guarantee it does not infringe others' rights; how you use it is up to you.
- The Torvis name, logo and subscription service are ours. The app's source code is published separately under its own licence (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0). That licence gives no right to the subscription service or to the Torvis brand.
10. Availability and changes
- We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service running without errors but cannot guarantee it. Maintenance, updates, the internet or our hosting providers can interrupt it.
- We may add, change or remove features. The app can update itself.
11. Limitation of liability
- The Service is provided with the care reasonably expected of a paid service, but "as is". We do not promise it fits any particular purpose.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- The results of actions the assistant took at your instruction or with your confirmation (section 6).
- The accuracy of what the AI produces.
- What third-party services do.
- Indirect loss: lost profit, data or business.
- To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the loss.
- None of this limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.
12. Suspension and termination
- You can cancel at any time through Whop.
- We may suspend or end the Service if you breach these terms, if payment fails, or for security reasons, with notice where possible.
- When a subscription ends, your cloud memory is kept for 30 days and then permanently deleted. You can download or delete it yourself in the app before then. Data on your computer stays under your control.
- "Delete my account and all my data" in the app deletes your data on our servers and on your computer whenever you choose (details in the Privacy Notice). It does not cancel your subscription; cancel it through Whop.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Material changes are announced in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them; otherwise you can cancel.
14. Consumers in the EU, the UK and elsewhere
- Right of withdrawal (EU/UK): You have 14 days from purchase to withdraw. By signing in to the app you ask us to start the Service straight away. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, we refund the unused part of the period (see the Refund Policy). This matches what the law requires: you pay for the days you used.
- The mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply, whatever this section says.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence. Consumers may bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution information.
